RF Survey Technician/iBwave Design

Do you have 1-2 years experience in RF data collection? We are looking for a motivated individual to join our growing team.

Responisbilities:

  • Travel to pre and post construction sites for RF data collection.
  • Compile data and post process into reports.
  • Create projects/walls in iBwave.

Requirements:

  • Computer knowledge and experience (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
  • Ability to think outside the box and react to a quickly changing environment.
  • Field experience, RF knowledge, Cellular knowledge.
  • Experience with spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
  • iBwave/Pctell/Anritsu experience.
  • Training available.

Cable Technician

Job description:

-Install, maintain, and repair cable infrastructure

-Conduct thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure the system is working correctly-

-Work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions.

-Keep cable neatly tied and bundled while maintaining safety standards.

-Operate vehicles, hand tools, power tools, ladders, leakage detection devices, and test equipment.

Field Technician – LA + San Diego County Areas

Are you detail-oriented, enjoy road-tripping to different places around the country, and views from rooftops? Leaf Communications if looking for a Field Technician to join our growing team. This position’s primary responsibilities will be to check on sites, take photos, and ensure accurate measurements. 

We are a growing telecommunications company based out of Southern California specializing in designing, engineering, installing, and managing the builds of communications infrastructure and cell towers. 

There is no degree required for this position, just a great attitude. We will teach you the skills to be successful in this position and in the industry. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Travel to sites all over Southern California for ‘site walks’
  • Take detailed photos on each site
  • Site sketches – Confirming site matches the plans
  • Take measurements of at each site and ensure accuracy with plans

  • Detail-oriented
  • Flexibility in schedule – everyday is different, weather permits, some days are long
  • Travel is required, sometimes weeks at a time

Materials Manager

Telcom Construction Management experience required.

Leaf Communications is seeking an experienced Materials Manager to manage the Bill of Material ordering and shipping process cell phone carriers in Southern California. 

As the TMO Materials Manager, you will manage the material procurement process and returned material process for T-Mobile in the Southern California market. The Material Manager will be responsible for overseeing the material ordering/material return process through the bidding, construction, quality control and testing, and the close out phases of all the affected communication equipment upgrades associated with the project being managed.

Material Manager Responsibilities:

  • Order the Bill of Materials (BOMs) for cell tower sites targeted for modification and upgrades.
  • Mange material deliveries by informing GCs when materials are ready to be received
  • Track material shipments throughout the procurement process, so contractors can accurately schedule construction start times and days
  • Handle additional supplemental orders for each site as required
  • Place orders for damaged equipment
  • Create the BOMs from scratch based on reviewing the following documents:
    • Construction Drawings
    • Radio Frequency Data Sheets (RFDS)
    • Preconstruction walk reports from Leaf CMs and General Contractor CMs
  • Handle all material related inquires by T-Mobile employees and general contractors
  • Use T-Mobile’s various ordering programs to ensure timely ordering of material needed for successful construction modification completion
  • Request and manage any changes needed to the RFDS or construction start date in order to ensure an accurate BOM is ordered

Material Manager Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of TELECOM material ordering experience
  • Candidate will have experience creating Bills of Material for the Telecom industry
  • Experience installing telecom equipment a plus
  • Experience with reading and interpreting drawings and RFS sheets form carriers a plus
